Duke ABSN Fall 2017

Hi guys! I haven't seen a thread yet for Duke's ABSN Fall 2017 yet, so just thought I'd get it started! I'm excited to be attending the open house later in September and look forward to meeting some of you there.

It was typed in the email that admit and wait-list students will be informed of the decision in April.

FAFSA webinar should be helpful if you haven't finished it already. I think the deadline is on March if I'm not mistaken.

I called today and she said the email was wrong! Decisions should be released by the end of February.

Does anyone know if they still do interviews or will the next time we hear from them be with an admissions decision?

I just received word from the admissions office that we will receive an invitation to Duke Days during the first week of March if you are being considered for admission or the wait list. Then official decisions will be released the first week of April after Duke Days is over.

Did anyone else receive an email from Nora this afternoon regarding an application update? Also, if we receive and invite to "Duke Days", are we accepted or waitlisted for the Fall 2017 cohort?

Yea I received an email. I guess if you get an invite to Duke Days you're either accepted or wait listed! I wish we didn't have to wait until April to find out our admission decision!

I got the email as well. Yes, I think if you receive an invite the first week of March you're either in or wait listed, and if you do not receive an invitation you'll be notified that you did not receive admission at that time.

Has anyone checked their SISS account? When I last checked mine, it said one of my transcripts was received in February(it was sent in November) and it had another one of my colleges listed twice and marked as not received. I emailed Nora, and I'm thinking this is a system error/typo. I hate having such high anxiety during this waiting game. Thanks for any help everyone and good luck!

I had the same situation. When she emails you back, she should include an image of all the transcripts that they actually have in the system. They had all of mine even though that wasn't reflected on my SISS account, so hopefully it's the same case for you!
