It really depends on how long ago it was in terms of getting accepted to school. The licensing part is different. Usually you are asked about ANY arrests/ convictions (expunged or not) and you must answer that question truthfully.
In my experience as a program director- I have accepted students with prior DUI > 5 years old and no further arrests. Some clinical sites have required more frequent testing- but all of them have gone on to be licensed.

Hello! I am in the same boat. It has been a little over 5 years when I got my first DUI in Nevada. Is there anything I can do or provide like a letter or some kind of document to better my chances? I am looking into a couple of nursing schools in CA as well as Roseman University in vegas.

I am finishing up my pre reqs and I am considering applying to chamberlain but I have a misdemeanor DUI from California which I am looking into getting expunged prior to applying to nursing school. My question is if I get it expunged will it still show up when I get my finger prints ran or would the school still accept me without having to expunge my record?
