I have given blood and TPN through a double lumen PICC many times, no ill effects. If there are lipids running at the same time I could see maybe asking about suspending those temporarily.

I am certified to place PICCs and our team did the teaching for PICC treatment at our hospital. There should be no problem running blood and TPN at the same time. If you're wondering about the lumens, the manufacturer we use states that even incompatible medications may be ran through dual ports, since it is going into the SVC, an area of extremely high turbulance, and there is no danger.
