Hey, Just wanted to say hi and I have couple questions as to uk nursing.
My situation: I'm a dual citizen us/uk I am in the process of getting my bsn in the us (have lived us all my life) all my family lives in the uk except for my immediate family and I was wondering if i would be able to practice over in england? I know people have issues with immigration but since i'm a citizen would it be easier to attain my uk license. Anyone have any experience with a situation like this? I would just want to go over to the uk for a year to gain a diff. perspective of nursing. Thanks in advance...cheers!

It might be a little easy. You would need to contact NMC. They are who allow you to practice as a nurse in the UK. Hope this helps. Good luck. What part of the UK would you like to work at. I am someone wanting to apply for dual citzenship. :balloons:

like previous said you should find it easier as you won't need a visa to work in the UK but still have to go through NMC and I should imagine as you trained overseas you will have to do the 20 day protected learning time which is still a bit of a grey eara on who is providing this and who pays for it!!! You are still looking at 12 months for NMC to process you application
Good luck
