DSN Oct 2009 Class

Published

Hey is anyone out there starting DSN in Oct 2009 for their BSN? I am and was wanting to get to know some of you before hand. My name is Melissa and I am 24. I will be starting the BSN program On Oct 5, 2009. I live in Littleton, Co.

:yeah:Hi, you guys! I'm also starting DSN this October. Right now, I'm so excited and nervous to finally start the program.

So you gals are from Littleton? I'm in Lakewood and will have an easy access to 6th E. so I'll see about driving there for the orientation on Sept. 24th.

Awesome! Can you tell us a little bit about yourself? I am freaked out about the first quarter classes. have you been out of school for a while or are you just plowing right through???

well, i'm really nervous and eager at the same time on starting the program in what... 3 weeks from today or so?! i'm 28 yrs. old and a stay-at-home wife. i've also been a professional student for a while now, lol. i've wanted to becomea nurse for a while now, so this is a huge deal for me. no kids, so that should help with nursing school and all (i hope, at least). just bought a house in lakewood and closing is in a couple of days, so everything [nursing school & buying our first house] are happening all at ones (yikes!). i've yet to pack everything in our apt, since my hubby is working f/t + over-time + currently in the rn-bsn (soon-to-be bsn-msn). but sometime during nursing school, i'm also determined to get back to fitness for good:no: so we'll see...

Well I am a recently engaged 24 yr old. No kids, thank the lord! I am ready for the program to start. I was freaked out about pathophys so i bought an older edition of the text and the study guide and have been going through it to hopefully gain an edge. We are also trying to buy a house. So with planning a wedding, buying a house, and working-I hope I can do it all. My name is Melissa by the way. Where does your hubby work? Where is he getting his rn-bsn?

hi, melissa. nice to meet you. my name's gwen. my hubby works in lutheran and is taking his adn-bsn through regis university online, which allows us to travel and visit are friends and family back east:d i also thought about borrowing the book for pathophys about a month ago, but i sooner realized that our home search amongst others in the market looking for a house was extremely competitive (i.e., bidding wars), due to that home tax credit of $8000. not to mention, i'd chosen to mentally relax for whatever time we have left until we start dsn. but that was a smart move to get a head start on pathophys.

i cannot wait for the program to start, honestly.

Hi there! I hope you guys are off to a great start your first week! I start in January and just thought I'd see if you guys could tell us how your doing so far? Also, how are you financing your tuition? I just met with Robin and I'm so nervous about money now! ;-)
