DS260 complete, now waiting

Hi everyone. I had a very busy Christmas and New Year because the welcome email from the NVC arrived, I paid my Immigration Visa fees , completed my DS 260 and the agency sent all the supporting documents off in a period of about 2 weeks. I was really surprised because it all happened so quickly. It was a fluke right? Anyway just wanted to know who else is at this stage or has been through it recently and how long did it take for NVC to pass the case on to the US embassy in London so they can book their medical and interview? Any information and tips about what to do now would be appreciated.

Hi @ICunursey! What is your priority date please? My PD is about to get current next month and so, I might hear from the NVC soon. Do you mind posting your EB3 processing timeline please? Many thanks.

Hi, my priority date is 30/10/2018. From there it was full on until now when I’m going for my medical and interview in the next 2 weeks. I’ll sort out a timeline and post it soon. Good luck

Hi everyone. Finally done with all this paperwork. Had my medical 26/3 , then immigration interview 9/4 and was approved. Have paid my green card fee and am travelling by the end of the month to start work as soon as my license is ready. It’s been a long, exhausting and expensive process but it’s doable. Good luck all.

Congratulations!!!! which city are you going to?

All the best with your new life!

Must admit that I hope you keep checking in once you get settled, sorted and start your new job. It would be interesting to know how things unfold for you. Also dreading getting my transcripts assessed because one of my university/schools of nursing haven't been too helpful.

But seriously I will use your tenacity as a model when I start jumping my hurdles!

Hi ! I’m settling into my new job in a new country. It’s in a different environment but still basically the same job. When arriving here, had so much to do, getting a SSN, bank account, and lots of work related stuff. It was busy but exciting. I’m still settling into my home and finding my way around. Thank goodness for GPS!?Endo. J persistence does pay off.. I’m proof so keep calling that university until they do what they have to for you. Good luck

I am so happy for you. I know what you mean by the Uni's not giving enough info, they 're already saying their not sure what specifics they have.

With the whole process, out of curiosity, from beginning to end how long did it take?

Getting my CES report took a long time because of transcript troubles so it took about 3 years from starting to actually starting work. It’s doable.

I called an agency the other day who said that Cgfns requires the documents from the uni to say that you have 40 hours education and 80 clinical in Mental Health, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and early years, Adult surgery and Adult medicine. Does that cover everything or is there more?

Also wondered if you had your documents from the university or were they sent straight to Cgfns?

Hope all is going well and that you are enjoying your new life.

Hi, the university has to send the documents to CGFNS . They will not accept the transcript from you. Be prepared to regularly “remind “ people to send the transcript. I am enjoying getting acclimated to my new job and home. The tornadoes are crazy though. Lucky for me I missed them and am just getting the rain storms.

Where are you located at the moment... our family out there are a little north of Austin and it sees their weather has been quite similar. Lots of storms but never fully blown Tornadoes.
