I am planning a cocktail party for a month's time and am trying to get as many ideas for drinks as possible. It'll be a bunch of nurses from the ward I work on and a whole stack of engineers. Apart from the usual Bundy and coke, has anyone got any suggestions for Aussie drinks?

Thanks for the site, Vettech - a lotta lotta potential there. Party has had to be postponed due to a ward sister who hasn't worked out that two months without a full weekend off isn't playing nice. Keep 'em coming though, it'll happen eventually!

Been wondering how did your cocktail party go - probably happened so long ago that it may be long forgotten - but wondering what drinks you ended up making and what nibbles did you have with the drink if any.

Tookie, I'm ashamed to admit that I still haven't had it. The only Fri/Sat I've had off since then has been used up for a ward night out, and the next month or so is going to be tight. I go on holidays next week though, and I'm the Designated Drink Designer for about 12 lads and 2 girls. We all stay in a friend's huge house on the water in a very exlusive part of Dorset, and for 4 days over Easter we barbecue dead animals, play with water pistols and drink cocktails. Drinking games and drunken poker are involved late in the evenings. Can't wait
