Hey Everyone,

I noticed there wasn't a thread for this group yet so of course the most simple solution was to make one! Hopefully everyone can share their thoughts, questions and updates here.

Just submitted my application and essay. Now I'm just waiting on completion with transcript processing. Trying to stay calm and ready myself for the wait.

Good Luck Everyone :)

I'm going to the accepted students day! Excited to meet everyone :)

I was just in the city this past weekend looking at apartments! I'm debating on not bringing a car with me to school because it's so expensive to park it, I'm just nervous about how to get to some clinicals

yeah that is my biggest concern at the moment, apartment shopping, car/parking, etc. I guess we'll see when we get their on feb 20!

I live in California and can't make the accepted students day. I would love if anyone could pass along the information :)

Hi All!

I was accepted a few weeks ago into the program. I currently live in Texas and can't go to the accepted students day, so I second the request to pass along any pertinent information.

Does anyone know the exact start date of classes?

Thanks!

I'm also concerned about parking! It's a 4 hour drive for me but I think I'll go to the info session so I can get some of my questions answered.

Hi guys!

The school received my updated transcript at the end of last month, and Frances told me my application has already submitted to the committee. It has been two weeks and my status still shows on hold. Do any of you know how long it will take for the decision to be make? I am so worry...

Hey Nugget,

Mine has been in review for roughly two weeks as well.. and i literally check the portal every two seconds. I heard from Fran this morning and she said it takes anywhere from 6-8 weeks.

Is there an accepted students Facebook group?

Also I want to hear from anyone who goes to accepted students day! Let me know how it goes.

Here is the facebook page- https://www.facebook.com/groups/445423422324607/

I was between Jeff and and chose Drexel.. I keep having second thoughts! Hopefully Drexel isn't too bad. I heard from many sources that it's more intense than other accelerated programs but is also the most prestigious. I live in Philly so will probably take the train to campus. Does anyone know which part of campus classes are held?

Classes are held at the center city campus!

Hello Everyone! I was accepted this week!!! Still nervous about what to expect and waiting on one other school to make my decision but I'm leaning more towards . I have to work on 2/20 but I will try my hardest to attend the session. Excited to meet you all!

I just wanted to share a few points from the info session. I only went to the first question and answer portion, not the second portion so if anyone has more information please share it.

- The chance of receiving financial aid is slim to none, most people take out private loans or pay their own way

- Parking in the city is a nightmare, you have to find the cheapest (but still super expensive option) or rely on public transportation which is very easily accessible

- Clinicals can be as local as Hahnemann Hospital or CHOP but can also be in Delaware or New Jersey

- The passing grade is a 77

- The attrition rate is 8-13%

- I think they said the largest the accepted class size will be is 150 for the 11 month program and 40 for the 24 month program

- The amount of applications received for the 11 month program was 1200 (for the fall only) and about 100 for the 24 month program

- They made it very clear that the program is fast, and a lot of information but there are several different sources for help

- We have practice simulations throughout the semester to prep us for our final graded simulation experient

- We prepare for the NCLEX throughout the course of the program via practice tests which is what contributes to their high graduating NCLEX pass rate

- Not too sure about the specifics of this, but they did say they have some type of assurance program for graduates who wish to pursue their MSN at
