Just for fun and to lighten things up a bit what would evryones dream job in nursing be?If you could work anywhere and under what circumstance would you be happiest?Personally mine would be somewhere I could see the ocean once in awhile making 5-6000 a month full benifits and at the most 3-5 patients(of course they all coorperate)I dont care about weekends all the time but once in awhile wouldnt be bad and a holiday also.I think I could live with that.

Specializes in ER, PACU, OR.

Hmmmmmm????? Well, no holidays......at least not 12-24 through 1-1. My own schedule, own hours, more physician respect...which isnt bas right now among my co-workers. $80,000 a year with benefits.

Where too?? Love the virgin islands......would the wife go? NOT! Hard enough to get her three hours away from her hometown.

Other option? Small town hospital....$60,000 yr, in the moutains somewhere, paid for house, no phone, streams and good weather when Im off.

I know of such a place almost. It is a heart center in Miami. The patient room are very sweet too, like nice suites. Very exclusive. Good, Good pay but you have to be really on top of Cardiac care and look good in a uniform. Yada Yada.

I won't enter my fantasy cause you all would just think I was lazy - lol

My dream job: to have time to use the bathroom, 8 hours a day instead of 10 ( charting etc,) respect ( just a litle) and a paycheck bigger than my friend who works at Mc Donalds.

Hi. I could get satisfaction out of a job where ill or injured people were not so demanding and would accept much of the responsibility and accountability for the predicament they find themselves in.

Secondly, I could get satisfaction out of having a job in which I could easily balance my personal business with my work without having to be consumed with working or preparing for work 3/4 or more of the day.

Thirdly, I could get satisfaction out of working a job where I'm not doing excessive paperwork just to justify someone else's job. Do all of us really need a bunch of rules and regulations to take care of our patients fairly?

Finally, I could get satisfaction out of working a job where I know my wage or salary kept ahead of the cost of living.
