Douglas College Psychiatric Nursing fall 2017

Hey just wondering how many people have applied or were planning on applying to the first intake of the newly structured psych nursing program at Douglas for fall 2017?

also did anyone else notice that on the list of all the requirements where it has filled in our grades and the ones that are still required/in progress etc. on the application status page, that psych 1100 and 1200 and the other university elective course are not listed? were those ones not direct requirements too?

the only courses listed on my chart are bio 1103/1203, psych 2300, english 1130 and an english UT elective, then the last 2 bios which I am currently still taking. but no mention of the other courses?

I am hoping it is less competitive too! My shows all the classes including my elevctive and psychs....

Has your application changed to show your psych courses yet?

from what i have heard they haven't even started reviewing the applications yet and probably won't start until end of this month beginning of next month. They want to get through all the general nursing applications and get all the seat offers our before they start dealing with psyc nursing.

Did anyone else get an email today saying that you are being considered for a seat but they would like you to attend an information session first before they can offer you one??

It says at the end of the email that this does not mean a guaranteed seat so Im trying not to get my hopes up.

Mine says the same thing as well. I have taken both psychs at Langara and got the credit transfer

Have you finished all your prerequisites or do you still have a couple you are finishing up?

Have you finished all the prerequisites? I didn't get the email but I'm still finishing my last two prerequisites at Douglas right now.
