Douglas college psychiatric nursing has anyone been accepted yet for 2015

It takes approximately 6-8 weeks before the registrar even assigns points. at the end of those weeks. they will send out letters to individuals who meet the admission requirements and have a sufficient amount of points. I applied for Sept 2014 and was not accepted. I am currently number 7 on the waitlist for the RPN diploma program.

Diploma program is more competitive because it is being discontinued JAN 2015 and alot of the people that apply into the diploma program are already degree graduates (mostly of psychology).

Sept. i had 9 points. for the Jan intake i should have 11 points.

Sept 2014 i think the points cut off was 11 or 12 points.

HI I just noticed they posted the points on my profile. I only want the diploma program as well. I am in my 40's and worked in health care 26 years. I guess if I dont get in I will go to Stenberg. I just wish it wasn't so expensive!!

Applicatioms for the sept 2015 intake for bspn open up sept 6 2014...also, you would at least need to have a minimum of 9-10 points to compete with other applicants. I know some people who have 11 points and are waitlisted...for the degrre program.

I also am done all of first year. I emailed the admission person tonite asking If I can just start 2nd year in jan or of there is an applicatiom process I have to go though.

Hey, So I applied for the September intake for the psych nursing degree. I'm expecting to have about 13 points because I have previous schooling, finished all the first years degree courses except the PHIL 3125 at douglas college, and have work/volunteer experience. Does anyone know if we can take 3125 out of the program? Also what happens if we are finished the 1st year courses?

You cannot take PHIL 3125 outside of the RPN program, it is limited enrollment and the college will not allow you to register for it if you are not an RPN student. As for the Program, if you did not apply for "2nd year direct entry" and have completed the entire first year (with the exception of PHIL 3125), you will still have to wait an entire year before you start year 2, the reason being is they assign you in cohorts once you reach year 2 (for clinical procedures and therapeutic relations), so unless you were accepted as a 2nd year direct entry student, you will still need to wait it out.

I am starting 2nd year in JAN. I spoke with the registrar and college department about ALL this information already haha.
