Douglas College Fall 2021

I finished my prereqs during Summer 2018 and just applied for this intake. I wanted to make a thread for those who applied to Douglas' Fall 2021 program!! 

 

Also has anyone else's requirement section of their application been updated yet?

1. How many years did you wait?

2. How many times did you apply after finally getting an offer?

3. What does the email said? Did it tell you to prepare for the trainings (BLS and First aid), vaccines, tuition deposits?

4. How is the email worded? Like did it say, somewhere along the lines that “you are accepted”

Hi there,

I finished my prerequisites in August 2019. I applied to every intake since then but typically most people receive an offer after 2 years of completion. I have never heard of anyone getting in earlier. If you don't want to wait, I would suggest applying to other schools depending on your GPA. In my offer, it asked me to pay for the tuition deposit. The email tells you that you have conditionally accepted. I hope I answered your questions.

 I got an email but it said there

“Program and semester: Nursing - Bachelor of Science Fall 2021 

 I am writing to advise you that the intake for this program is now full.”

 I checked my application status and it said Decision Made and Full Program adm. req’ments met.

Also, how many years did you wait after your prereqs for you to be in this semester? I finished mine last Summer 2020.

I would really appreciate it if you give me a reply.

My email said "Congratulations! I am pleased to advise that you have been conditionally accepted into the 2nd year nursing program." 

They then give you time to pay a non-refundable $350 deposit to hold your seat. 

I finished my pre-reqs in Fall 2019.

Oh you know what, my bad. I was basing it on pre-reqs used for my BCIT application and I forgot Douglas doesn't use Chemistry, which is what I finished in Winter 2020. My Douglas Pre-Reqs were finished in Fall 2019!

Has anyone received an email indicating the next steps(immunization, first aid etc)?

They said they’d contact us at the end of April but I still have not received anything.

did you get an email for the deposit payment? I haven't gotten one. 

I think email for the immunization will be sent out after paying deposit....

Yes, I paid my deposit the day after I got my offer back in January 2021. 

That’s odd, I guess ill contact admissions

Oh if you are accepted to Fall 2021- I heard that they are super busy with the Winter 2022 intake applications.. None of my friends have gotten the email yet.
