What changed my view? Well it wasn't exactly my idea to begin with. I love academics, I love medical science, and I love lifelong learning. What I saw in clinicals was a lot of paperwork, patient overload, and burnt out nurses. I didn't like many of the doctors. The biggest thing was not enjoying working in focus with the RSPONSE to the disease. I don't know. I felt more interested in the medical skills and resented having to deal with families, etc. Maybe not resented. Anyway, none of that was the real reason. It took me 1.5 yrs to finish my last 2 credits which were actually pre reqs. They let me walk w the girls and finish in the summer. Except I couldnt afford the classes. So long story longer, I never took the classes. Huge mistake. I need to salvage my life. I'm 30yo and its time for accomplishment! I really need some guidance. Any resources ur aware of? Advisor or something? What careers? HELP! ANY AND ALL SUGGESTIONS AND INFO IS APPRECIATED!
Informatics would be good. How about pharmaceutical or medical equipment sales? Medical billing? You would still be able to use knowledge gained during your education but not have to be licensed as an RN. What made you decide to finish school but not take your boards?
Maybe a career interest test would be useful.

So apparently I'm not the only one! I feel soooo much better. I graduated with my bsn in 2003 and never took the boards. I know, why right? Well I guess I listened to everyone else and not myself. I did fairly well in school but that was a long time ago! What I wanna know is, what other jobs are around that I could use this degree? I'm open to all kinds of suggestions. It just seems like such a huge waste of time/effort not to use this by going into something that relates or involves the education I've received. So PLEASE!! HELP!! I NEED DIRECTION!! If anyone has ANYTHING they think would help, reply ASAP!!
