Done with the Nursing Concepts Exams! What can I get rid of???

Published

I can't believe it, I've looked at my printout from NC 5 about 100 times to make sure it's real! I passed today with an A! I could've taken it last week and been fine, but whatever, it's over with and I'm so overjoyed I can't stand it!

What will make me even more over joyous is getting rid of CRAP! Yes, I mean do I need my psych book? I guess I will keep my med-surge book as reference for now (even though I never used my one from LPN school).. But seriously, I am all about decluttering, so if someone could tell me any necessary items I may wish to keep for CPNE prep? I can't stand having this study garb around my house anymore. I don't have an office, so there is literally is a trail of books all over my house.

I'm hoping to be around more! I had to place limits on myself this summer and try not to interact too much on the computer and get stuff done! With CPNE prepping, I'm thinking interaction will be a MUST NEED.

Thanks as always for the support and encouragement from this board!

Erin!!! OMG, I am so happy for you!!! :) :) :) The only book I really referenced for CPNE studies was my skills book ... the med-surg one might be helpful, too.

Congrats on your A!! Way to go!

For CPNE prep, I seriously encourage you to start visiting the CPNE study section of Excelsior's Electronic Peer Network (EPN). I learned so much there!

Congratulations! Your hard work has payed off. I could not have passed the CPNE without the EPN. Definetly hang out there and get your questions answered. As far as books, hang on to them for now or sell them on Ebay. Throw all your notes away or give them to someone. The CPNE studyguide will be your new best friend. Again Congrats and let us know if we can help in anyway.

Well first let me say Congratulations!!! Second you need to keep all your nursing books. as for general eds i would sell on ebay or find a half price college bookstore or amazon. You know you can reference all your nursing books for your NCLEX and ect in the future.

Congrats Erin!

Have any notes you want to get rid of for HDLS3 (or NC6)....Im taking HDLS2 in the next 2 weeks and then knocking #3 out...hopefully...good luck with CPNE!

My NC 5 notes are beautiful...except I did them old school, in a notebook.. I contemplated typing them up because I think they could be helpful to some.. I really felt I went too in depth for that entire exam after taking it!

Thanks for the replies everyone!! I've already started poking around on the EPN.

My plan is to start spending about an hour a day on the CPNE while doing my Micro class. Then really focus on it through January and February and hopefully test in Marchish.

Of course I have to decide on a workshop. I'd love to do two, but I'm not sure finances will allow for it. I also hate traveling around in snow storms, so we'll see!
