Okay I finished my preceptorship on Tuesday and finished my preceptor journal this morning. As soon as I turn this in I am offically DONE with nursing school!!!! It has been a long haul but I finally made it!!! I have to pick up my cap and gown on May 6th and then just wait for graduation. I can hardly believe I am done though. What am I going to do with myself now???? I mean before I worked full time and went to school full time. I guess my husband will be happy, I will finally have time to clean my house!!!! I am going to miss all my friends that I have gotten close to through school though.

Congrats!! I have my final tomorrow in Med/Surg and Trends. I'm off until Aug.18, then only one semester left for me! YEAH! (Peds,OB,Mental Health) I'll be graduating in December.
Rnnurse2b, I went to a junior college in Joliet. I have already accepted a position at the hospital of my choice on an ortho/neuro unit which also has some med-surg patients. I did my preceptorship in L & D and have already been told that after my 6 months is up on the ortho unit (you have to stay in a department for 6 months before transferring), if there is an opening in L & D I will be highly considered. I can't wait. I love my ortho unit, but it isn't where my heart is.
ME TOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! I took the last of my finals on Monday and passed with flying colors. I got the highest grade in my class too!! I get pinned on Friday and graduate with the whole college on Saturday. It has been a LONG and grueling 2 years with working full time and school full time, this semester especially with preceptors! However, I'm done!!!!!!!! What will I do with all this free time? Probably sleep and watch junk TV for at least a good month that is for sure. After that, decorate my new house I bought in December but have failed to touch because of school. I'm so excited to be done you can't believe!! Congrats to all the May graduates across the country. Bring on the NCLEX!!! LOL....
