Hey There! Has anyone applied to Dominican College for the ABSN 2015-2016. I have heard mixed reviews and wanted to know if anyone had any information on the program.

I went ahead because I know 2 people who have graduated from the program--one from the day ABSN program and another from the traditional BSN program. Both say that it's tough and faculty will cut students (or will place students into the traditional program) who aren't performing well, but it's very doable. My friend who completed the ABSN said that he would do the program again, which I take as a good sign. I know that the NCLEX pass rate isn't very high, but it looks like the school is being proactive about helping students prepare and study. It's a very fast program, even for an accelerated one--with all the holidays and breaks, it's closer to 11 months than 12 months.Dominican produces a lot of nurses and I bet the quality varies from person-to-person. I pay attention to bad online reviews, but I take them with a grain of salt because people are more likely to air their grievances rather than sing praises :)Good luck if you have applied!
