Potential employers that call to schedule you to have a drug test and the like generally intend to hire you. They're not going to go through all the trouble and expense to doing background checks and drug screens on all candidates because doing so can be very expensive, even if done in-house. Usually when they take that step after an interview, it's because they've made an offer to you and you've accepted, contingent upon passing background, drug screen, TB, etc.
In the past, none of the jobs that I've had ever presented me a formal letter/offer of employment until well into the pre-hire process and that's always been well after a verbal offer has been offered and accepted.

So I'm getting my first LPN job (Full time). I interviewed and I didn't feel it went very swimmingly but she did discuss pay and said they would call me for drug test, tb, etc. They did call me to do that today.
But I have another job offer (PRN) and they gave me an official letter of pay and employment.
So question is: eventhough I did not get a letter of pay, do you think I'm hired?
