Does interview at LPN school (after waiting 3 months) mean I am accepted?

i have an interview for rochester general hospital isabella g. hart school of practical nursing next friday. three months ago i took the entrance exam and figured that i would have to take it again next year and this year was a bust. but i got a call a few days ago and the administrative assistant told me that the director said that, although certain parts of the exam i scored "average," she wanted to schedule an interview with me. :w00t:

i was shocked because i thought that only ones with high marks on the exam would be considered. i am going to college now and have excellent grades. i think that helped me, along with other aspects of my application (reference letters from work, my essay). the session begins in august.

i know that the interviews vary from basic to more in-depth depending on the type of program (this is lpn program).

my question is, would you assume (in this case) that because i have an interview i'm pretty much in?

thanks!

Well they are taking into consideration that you have good grades and that you are a bright student. Its more like giving you another chance, if you want to look at it that way.. But Good luck, I hope you make it! Keep in touch...

Well. I took the test 3 months ago. They were still testing other applicants a few months after that. Then they determined who was eligable for an interview. Then they still have to break it down from there. 200 applicants and 80 will make it---and that is for the part-time and full-time programs. Its a really good school.

How is life after school?

I'm just seeing this. I honestly don't know what to say about it. REAL nursing is truly something else I must say. Did you have your interview already?

yes, i did. it went went. i asked her if everyone got an interview and she replied that you must meet certain criteria in order to have an interview. applicants would recieve a letter by june 1st at the latest-but she said that they would have them all sent much sooner than that. so---it's been a week and a few days. i could get a letter any time now.

Well great. Keep us posted. Hopefully, everything goes well. BE POSITIVE and ALL THE BEST!!

I am in the same boat. I am awaiting a response to be accepted at the Isabella Graham Hart School of Practical Nursing program. I am pretty excited because the way my interview went almost implied that I was accepted. I feel all of my credentials are in order...I hope

Hey everyone I just received my acceptance letter today. I wanted to know who else received there letter.

Sigh...I was waitlisted. Would you care to share your background, and what you got on the TEAS test. I am thinking about reapplying for next year and taking some classes in the meantime. Thanks and CONGRATS!!!
