Dhb = district health board. There's 20 in nz, so it would be helpful to actually specify which dhb. Students come under the jurisdiction of the polytech or uni and I haven't heard of students being drug tested, although it is somewhat concerning that someone would have to ask.
Thanks Sairin for the info.
Yes it does concern me.
How you going anyway?
Not too bad, learning to swim pretty good (metaphorically speaking). This quake has done wonders for my new grad education (would have liked things to be a bit easier though, lol). Things have started to settle down at least. Started postgrad, applied pathophys paper is pretty full on but love it.
Hows things in Oz atm? Not hearing any news or anything, so I guess that means there's nothing major going on as a country

Nothing happening here ....at the moment....a beautiful and another warm day in Victoria for a public holiday, can smell the bbq's cooking as we speak in backyards. ...good luck with the study, keep in touch
...and to the first poster....usually they do not test they just need two to three people saying you show all signs of drug/alcohol abuse and your out, or if they are one of those touchy feely employers, leave without pay until you are sorted, then assess your practise, the union does not hold much here as it is an offence to care for people under any self inflicted drug abuse.
