Does there come a point when you just have to move on?

Third time was not a charm for me... I've applied at several schools, and have not been accepted. My GPA is not great. 3.04. However, the way one of the schools I applied at does things, I would have gotten the same amount of points as someone with a 3.49. unfair, i know, but they also rate 6 months and 10 years the same for experience. They are changing the admission requirements to become more difficult. If you retake classes, they take the first grade anyway. I may not even be able to apply because I've never taken a math class other then med dosages (it was not required) so I need to take a pre req this fall before I can take the required, will be in precess at the deadline. (these changes came out yesterday by the way). So, though it is what I want to do, (It's REALLY what I want to do...) I may have to face the fact that it just may not happen. I'm meeting with a counsoler, considering starting over as a freshman (can I even do that?) or finding something else. Has anyone been in this situation, or know someone who has? I could really use a few ideas...

Buckle down and go for it. Try more schools. I applied twice to one school that changed their requirements thrice times and I didn't get in. That was the only school I applied to, because of the close proximity and I didn't have all the prereqs for the other schools. It seems like every school has different requirements. Anyway, it does get expensive applying to all these schools, but most people go thru this and some of them have to wait 3yrs after they have completed their prereqs just to find a school to let them in. Don't give up, but I guess you can always change your major to something else, especially if you're still young.

I read on this site where someone completely started from scratch, got into nursing school, and graduated. Other than the time and money aspect, though, you have to deal with the possibility of getting caught, and dealing with the consequences. A tough decision.

I've applied at multiple school. They all have my transcripts, so I would need to do it with permission. I don't think I would take the chance if there were sever consequences. I'm 28, so I guess I'm young. Nitso much on a deadline anymore because my husband will be starting anesthesia school in August. I kinda missed the deadline to be done before he started...
