Your exact statement was

One is a licensure, which is the RN, and one is a degree, which is the BSN.

Perhaps I misunderstood your intention because of the way it was expressed, but the way that I took it is that you don't have a nursing degree unless it is a BSN.

Yes it appears you misunderstood. The OP specifically mentioned that an "RN and BSN do the same thing" as if they were comparing apples to apples. I simply was stating that they are different things - one is the actual license, and one is a degree.
