Does Anyone Work As A Nurse Case Manager for Anthem?

Published

Hello,

I am an RN who has been an emergency room nurse, dialysis nurse, OR nurse, and home health nurse. I currently am floating at a hospital between ER, OR, ICU, and Med/Surg. I feel incredibly burnt out and am seeking a change. I want a position with good hours (Monday-Friday, no weekends/holidays) and good vacation policy. I feel that currently my schedule is not ideal and that I am forced to miss out on things with my family. I was looking into seeking a position at anthem as case manager. The position I am looking into is for a completely remote case manager. I was just wondering if anyone currently works for or has worked for anthem as a remote case manager, and what it was like? I have never done case management before, so I am interested in any tips/pointers you may have. I would like to know what the culture is like, what a typical day is like, what working from home is like (what resources are available to you), and if you liked it and why. Also, does anthem provide any reimbursement for home internet or phone service? Since you would be using it for the position.

Thank you so much for your help! Any insight is appreciated!

Anthem is a gemstone compared to floor nursing. I am not a case manager, but work from home reviewing request for imaging, DME, HH, etc. Work M-F, 8-5 and all remote. Reimbursed for internet, RN license. I took a pay cut, but it was well worth it. Go on their website and apply. I love it!!

I'm considering a position as a case manager, how much pay cut are you talking about in %?
