Does anyone go to a school where the TEAS/Hesi isn't required?

I was just curious because I've been reading a LOT of threads that talk about taking these tests. I didn't even KNOW what they were until I googled them! My BSN program just required a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA, eligibility for sophmore standing, two references, and the required prereqs with a passing grade. I found it odd after reading about the TEAS/Hesi that we didn't have to take them, as my advisor said that our program is extremely competitive. I don't think any of the colleges in my area that have nursing programs require them either.

Anyone else?

SFSU doesnt require a TEAS score...thats pretty much the only school in cali that I know of which doesn't (talking about BSN)

UTMB in Galveston, TX doesn't require any exams either...

In Miami Dade College it isn't required either, just GPA. My friend is applying for a private college, however, and they require the TEAS.

Skagit Valley College and Whatcom Community College in Washington don't require either.

I live in Nebraska and I don't think any of the college around here that I looked into required them. My school required a certain minimum score on the ACT, compass testing into the appropriate classes, references, interviews, and a nursing math test. It was a lot of hoops to jump though but 100% worth it. :D

We took the NET test as part of the process to get in, but it's easy.

We used ATI throughout school to measure our knowledge, but it was never a determining factor in whether you passed a class or graduated.
