All you need to do is meet requirements of the BON of the state you want to work in, If initially foreign trained then same again but meet requirements for foreign trained. I managed to endorse from NY to AZ with no problems just met their requirements

Is is not generally hard to get licensure by endorsement. But it is frequently expensive and can take a while to get all the paperwork to go through. One state that I endorsed in to insisted on paperwork be sent to them from EVERY state that I had ever had a license in. At the time I had 6 active licenses and a couple of expired ones. Each state required their own paperwork plus $$$ to process it. Then I had to sit and wait because not every state had a quick turnaround time on processing the papers.

For me,I got my CA license on 3rd Jan '07 after taking my nclex on 21st Dec '06,sent request for endorsement to GA BON on 8th Jan,sent request for my paper work to be sent to GA BON also.CA BON took some time before they could send the paper work to GA BON but at last,i got my GA license in 21 marsh '07.Mind you that i had to pay $60 to CA and same to GA BON.Goodluck Dear. You can wait the most important thing is that you have a licence to be endorsed.

Thank you for your response. I heard that CA license cant change to some states'.like CA license cant change to NY one. Is that true?? Also how much do nurses in NY earn per hour??Any info will be appriciated.
I guess it depends on your training but as far as I am aware if RN shouldn't have any problems as long as you meet requirements for endorsement

Well, I endorsed my CA LVN licensure to Texas after I relocated 2 years ago, and the endorsement process was fairly straightforward without any notable problems.
