Do You See Yourself Making It To Retirement in Nursing?

Published

Just wondering how nurses feel about whether they will make it to retirement in the nursing field? Or will you end up leaving it before then?

I just got my BSN 4 months ago and don't see myself in nursing for anymore than the next few years , 2-3 yrs at the most..

Hi. I was just curious what your reason(s) were for planning to leave nursing after such a short time.

at 50, and after 28 years in nursing, i don't see myself leaving the profession before retirement. i'd love to figure out how to leave the bedside, though! the rotating shifts and constant lifting are getting to be a bit much.

Staff nurse/bedside nursing....**** NO!!

Advanced practice....hopefully.

I definitely see myself retiring from nursing. In some form or another, I think nursing has more than enough areas to keep me interested and excited for the rest of my life!
