Do you work with creepy-weird co-workers?

we just got a new male co-worker that people swear is a child-molestor or mass murderer. you'll find him just staring at you with wide eyes every now and then. then he'll ask an off the wall question "do you like spinach?".

i think he's harmless and don't participate in the gossip, but have to admit he's a bit creepy with the staring.

years ago, i worked with a janitor that looked exactly like santa clause: pink cheeks, tiny wire frame glasses, white beard and jolly tummy. he even had his own santa suit and volunteered as santa every christmas. every single person i worked with thought he was just the nicest guy, and "he volunteers all this time playing santa for little kids." he gave me the creeps. i couldn't put my finger on it, he just gave me the creeps!

then his daughter turned him in for child molestation when she found him "in an intimate position" with her step-granddaughter. it turns out he'd molested his own daughters and granddaughters, the neighbor kids and even had felt up little girls who sat on santa's lap. (now why his children would leave their children alone with him i'll never understand!)

i also worked with a nurse who gave me the creeps. once again, everyone thought he was "a nice guy. a little strange, but nice enough." i'd catch him staring at me, and shudder. he'd stand too close, follow me around to ask me out, etc. he was married, and i was new to the unit and didn't know his wife who had worked there until recently, so i seemed to be the only person he'd ask out. he just made my skin crawl and i was careful never to be alone with him in the med room or supply room . . .

then his wife divorced him. it seems he'd been abusive for years, and she finally left him when he chased her down the street with a gun, trying to shoot her. funny how all the folks who thought he was such a nice guy "knew it all along!"

I can't speak for my coworkers (in regards to being creepy and weird), but I know that I often spend my day dealing with bodily fluids, sticking individuals with needles and withdrawing blood from individuals into tubes with brightly colored tops. Along with the blood, I also collect urine and feces from individuals to be examined by folks in white coats (I've even ordered others to collect bodily fluids). I pass out various substances to be taken internally to counteract the effects of other substances I've handed out. And what's really strange is I ask several individuals a day if they have had bowel movements and get excited when they've done so, even keeping track of the results....(BM x1, BM x 2), etc. I've even greeted people with a smile who berate me as I serve them .... And then I go back the next day and joyfully (sometimes) repeat the whole process all over again.......

If that's not creepy and weird....I don't know what is...

UR FUNNY

Most of the creepy-weirdo's are the docs at my work...sometimes makes ya wonder how the heck do they make it through life let alone med school...sheesh.

Love almost all my co-workers though...only one's I can't stand sometimes is the ED-techs that are in nursing school or paramedic school who insist on telling you how to do your job...grrr.

I'm a CNA and have not yet started clinicals so to my co-workers who are nurse externs, I'm completely stupid. Anyway, they tell me how to do my job. Basically, we're both aides and I've been an aide for 6 years compared to her one semester - she's not technically an aide and couldn't work in LTC. All she is is a nurse extern but yets she has sooooooo much more experience than me. :angryfire

I refuse to work with the one really creepy, weird nurse. When I first started this job I would often volunteer to work one 3rd shift a week. The nurse and me would be stuck on the LTC unit that is in the hospital. Just me and her all night. She got on the computer and said "hey, Elizabeth, come look at this." I was stunned. Not by the male anatomy and the fact that she was on a Media site but that she had the nerve to do this at work. She eventually got reported but she still does it. She also told our handsome resp therapist that she thought of him when she........you know, found her pleasure. Freaked him out too. Who walks up to someone and says that? A creepy weird person is who.

She also picks up hitchikers and DATES them!!!! Yes she does!!!! She's all around disgusting and I have no respect for her.
