Do u know any hospitals that may pay off my Nursing student loan of $40,000?

Published

Hi !!

I used to live in the bay area and moved to Las Vegas about 3 years ago. Big mistake. The 110 degrees in the summer kinda hurt. I plan on attending a nursing school named Apollo College. It's a great school but the costs of the RN program hurts a little.....$43,700. No waiting list and I'm done in 22 months. Thats with all the prereqs, nursing concepts and clinicals. What I want to do is take the program and moved back to the bay area. I don't care if rent is expensive. I miss seeing water and the different kinds of people. The bay area is the best. If you know of any hospitals that may pay off my loan, please post it here.

THanks

I graduated from a Canadian nursing school and I have a student loan of $30000. Will that Nursing Education Repayment Program pay my student loan?? I work and live in Riverside, California now :D

Good advice! To add to that, if you take the NCLEX in the state in which you went to school and get your RN, there are no problems in transferring your license to CA.

That's really weird! That is the same school I started my nursing education at but Apollo college of New Mexico.....But due to certain situations I moved back to cali and am finishing at a community college. Some words of advice I recommend not dealing with their finical aid office they have NO great advice and are only out to get their money. They only want you to use their preferred lenders and got very angry with me when I wanted to use my own lender. I know it sounds nice to get all your pre reqs done there but i would take them at a local community college so u can guaranty they will transfer especially if you ever want to continue your education. Even if they tell you they will I would make sure by calling a local university and see what they say.

Also, Call California Board of Registered nurses to see when you graduate from Apollo you will be able to be licensed here.

And to answer your question I know some hospitals like John Muir, Sutter Coast in N.Cali and some Kaisers will pay off loans but it is often up to a certain amount. Usually 15,000-25,000 and you have to commit YEARS for them to do that. Your best bet is to call the hospitals and ask.
