Do you have to be a student before applying to Nursing Programs?

I plan on applying to a few different ASN programs as soon as I finish my prereqs, what is the process of applying? Do I have to register as a student at every college I apply to or can I just apply to their nursing program, then enroll when I'm accepted? Do I have to wait for transcript evaluations before I can apply? I'm so confused.

    You need to check with the schools you are planning on applying to. At my school, yes, you have to be accepted at the college first, and then apply to the nursing program.
