I know it's part of their job. but do they get some monetary incentive when they managed to recruit nurses? just curious.....

What they get is a percentage of your first year salary.

I was a recruiter before I became a nurse and yes they do get a "bonus" or a fee, typically 15-30% percent of your 1st years salary--If you are a contract nurse or travel nurse they get a percent of your hourly wage. So if your making 40 an hour they are prob making between 5 and 10 bucks an hour for every hour you work-so they will try and get you the highest possible salary as it means more money for them!---some people dont like to work through recruiters but really it is a good thing.
FYI I made WAY more working as a recruiter than I do as a nurse!!!

Racing-Mom I am a nurse recruiter and I am in the process of applying for Nursing School starting in Sept. I was wondering if you miss recruiting at all??
