Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about nursing in UAE?? I'm in my mid-30's and hear that after 40 women cannot "get into UAE" to work. Is this true?
Anyone who has any tips about working in UAE would be great. I'm thinking of going but not even sure how to start the process. I'm a Canadian RN.
Thanks

hi you can work here up to 60 years old when you reach that age it is automatic termination.....
Really?? That's good to know b/c I was told by a Canadian recruiter that after 40, women cannot get work visas in UAE. She didn't state why but just said that was the "rule" out. I figured that I had to hurry up and get my BN before I try to apply which only gives me about 3 1/2 years to complete it BUT this gives me more time..................
Thanks for your response. Any other tips about working out there??
Hi if you are ready to come in UAE here are some hospital that is very good in terms of benefits and some other things 1. Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, ( Abu Dhabi) Tawam Hospital ( Al Ain) American Hospital ( Dubai).. It is really nice to work here.. no need to worry of any crimes you can walk outside anytime you want the country is free and expat are very much welcome.... but you have to adjust for the weather summer is very longfrom May to September it is extremely hot here.. but the best month is October to April not to hot and not to cold.... Patient spc.Locals are very generous and full of gratitude . I been here for 6 years now and I really enjoyed it a lot
Hi there,
Thanks for giving me a heads up as to what you have experienced in UAE. I really want to get there but got'a figure out how/where to start the paper work. Thanks for the hospital names b/c I'll totally look into those. I'm kind'a going blindly as to what is out there so any suggestions from people who have lived/worked there is great!
Thanks again
