nope. no need for the IELTS. i graduated in the phils, a year later got married to a filipino (who is a naturalized american citizen). living in the US now and an RN as well. the IELTS is required if you will undergo the visa screen process. if you are an immigrant, it is no longer required. good luck to you and your fiance.

Ditto! I am married to a US Citizen as well. I didn't take IELTS exam coz I'm an immigrant already. Good luck to you.

I would say the only differnece would be if the BON makes it part of the requirements of foreign trained nurse (and some BON's do) or if the hospital asks for it. If just marrying a US citizen then you do not need to do vsc which is generally where the exam is required

thanks alot. il be in in california. may i ask for some interview tips at the embassy? what do they really ask to the beneficiary (who's me) do i have to story tell our love life? lolz:lol2: and will i also present my OWN financial support or that means a financial support FROM MY FIANCE? cus i dont have my own bank account or assets of my own...
