Do you get paid per hour or per patient?

I'm just curious to other states and counties, how do you get paid? I get paid per unit. Routine is 1 unit, SOC, Recert, DC, and ROC are 1 1/2 units. I get paid $32 a unit. What's yours?

I don't work home heath so none of those words make sense to me. Is a unit a patient? How any units do you do a day?

Depending on the OASIS, depends on how many units you get. Start of cares, recerts, resumptions, and discharges are all 1 1/2 units, routine visits are one unit. I do minimum of 6 units a day. Sometimes 7 or 8 units.

I am salaried based on 40 hr a week (most weeks less, some more). Average 5-6 a day, and SOC count as 2. Paid extra for anything done on call.

I do extended care for an hourly wage. One of my employers quoted a visit rate for intermittent visits, however, I have not been asked to do visits and don't care to.

We are paid per patient...A routine visit is 34.00 (level 1), SOC/Recert/ROC is 52.00 (level 2), routine visit after hours pays level 2. A SOC/Recert/ROC after hours is level 3...74.00.

Our oncall also pays travel time and time on phone, plus the actual visit, plus hourly pay for carrying a beeper.

Fulltime status is 28 visits per week, but that changes on Jan 1 due to the new Oasis C...fulltime will then be 25 visits per week.

The only negative is that a discharge is considered a level 1, no extra pay for the extra paperwork.

But the more patients I see, the more pay I get. I really like that better than hourly pay. I have potential to make as much money as I want to.
