my goal: graduate in one year, get a job: er, med-surg, mental health.
volunteer in a clinic serving those without insurance or with migrant workers;
i'm like to go onto advanced practice and work as a nurse practitioner, which would enable me to do more good working with underprivileged people, but one day and one step at a time-as the hubby would say.
I want to graduate in one year, and get hired on with the floor that I have my nurse internship at this summer (med-surg, oncology). I want to be OCN certified with in 5 years, and be working on my RN to BSN to MsN in Oncology NP hopefully. Maybe I will go in to Mental Health nursing. I don't know, but that is the great thing about nursing; there is always another specialty you can learn. You can't get bored nursing!

Or are you like me. I feel like a kid in the candy store. I start ADN in the fall and I've been trying to decide what my end goal will be. You know there is CRNA, Midwifery, clinical specialist, NP with dozens of tracks, nurse educator, management. I know I wanna keep going to my master's but beyond that I think I need to wait and hope clinical rotations give me more clarity. But do you guys already know your end goal?
