DNP Chatham or U of Missouri - Columbia

Published

Is anyone here doing the DNP program at Chatham University or University of Missouri - Columbia? I'm trying to decide between the two programs. Thanks in advance.

Hello, I am the managing editor of Chatham University's alumni magazine. I saw your question via our media service and wanted to tell you that I just wrote a five page feature story about our recent DNP graduates and their research. I would be happy to send you a free copy of the magazine. If you are interested, you may contact me at aritchie (at) chatham (dot) edu. Good luck to you as you pursue your doctorate degree.

Best,

Be serious! Twenty-seven credits and online! Even though the program is accredited, this DNP degree is widely regarded as a joke.

Master's degrees require more credits than this DNP! And DNP grads are not prepared or qualified to carry out research, despite what their alumni mag says.

Keep looking! And go to a classroom, not your computer, for scholarly work.

Wow PANYNP. I would love to see some of your reviews that label it as a joke and the sources, of course. I have thought about that program, too. It is an accredited program. As far as being online, I know of some other schools that have most of the DNP online like Hopkins, Catholic U, Drexel, and Duke. I wonder why they would risk their reputations if online education is so poor? Have you attended Chatham? I found this thread from a couple of years back, but not any reviews of a attendees or graduates.

While I can't comment on the DNP, I did attend Chatham 's online RN-BSN program and had a really positive experience. I loved that I could work at my own pace, teachers were very helpful and supportive, and small online classes.
