Distance Learning Programs

Nursing Students Online Learning

Published

Can anyone please help me out here. I have been an LPN for a year now and I want to continue my education for my BSN. I had contacted "The College Network" and Indiana State University. To make a long story short, I want to make sure I am doing the right thing.

Are distance learning programs legit? Indiana State University esp?

Can I get any type of grants, financial aid, etc.

And are there distance learning programs that are better and more cost effective?

Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks again, Kim

Yes, Indiana State is legit. They are a real brick and mortar university and have been for a long time. Like many other schools, they offer distance classes. Your classroom portion is done online (lectures are breeze presentations) and clinicals are done locally with a preceptor. I'm a student there as well as a couple other posters here.

Hello,

If you have questions about any school and it's accreditation you can go to this website:

http://www.ope.ed.gov/accreditation/Search.asp

Adn search for the school and the program. It's provided by the US DOE.

I am an Assitant Director of Admission for a University and I use it all the time.

Nursing programs and Health Care is my specialty.
