I wanted to create a new thread for everyone that will be starting the online nursing program, so that we can communicate, share ideas, support one another, and study.

Good luck with your program.

Just need to complete the physical, fingerprinting, and get the Tetorifice shot. I did my ceu's online (ceufast). But I am soooo excited.

Hello everyone! Congratulations on getting accepted!

I'm so glad I found this site because I know we're going to need all the additional support we can get. I have no choice but to work (full time) and do this program, so online was my only option. I would really like to get a group of us together to meet as often as possible to put our heads together to get through these online classes. I have two friends, one whose in the program already and one starting with us, who are both attending North. I've been trying to get as much information as possible from my friend who is in the program already. All she can say is read, read, read EVERYTHING, captions, footnotes, whatever is on the pages. Questions for the tests will come from there. I have a feeling we will have a harder time just because the professor isn't in front of us for a couple hours each week guiding us. I'm so excited for all of us and can't wait to get started.

By the way, I went to the fingerprinting place the Friday after orientation and just a warning, they are not very nice, the waiting room is small, and they take their precious time.

Thanks for using the this thread. And welcome to the club. I myself have to work full time as well, I have 3 children. Face to face was not a good option for me. I agree that we need to get together, whether face to face or here. We need the support, ideas, encouragement, and GOD to get thru this.

I got one background check done. Have to get the drug screening and the second background check done and the physical....it really isn't much but all so time consuming and with trying to find the money to pay for some of these things....sheesh. I'm planning on finishing all the other stuff next week and hopefully getting it all turned in once and for all. I hate having loose ends. Anyway, let me know if you find a cheap place for the physical and shot. I thought we needed more than one shot....do we?

Same boat here, I've got 3 kids and I'm a single mom so online was my only option.

Can you tell me what happened at the fingerprinting place? do they do another background there or is that another place we have to go to and how long until you get your results? Thanks!

I already have all the other shots. I just had blood work done in August which showed all the titers. I heard it was cheaper going into a CVS clinic to do a physical. I was thinking it might be cheaper to go to the Dept of Health to get it cheaper as well. I think there is one off of Eureka Dr (South of of u, Dept of Health). I think the CVS off US1, across from Dadeland Mall, has a clinic in it.
