lol what am i the school guidance counselor. in regards to the codes they will give you a list once you are done with your first semester. gi/gu is the second semester and u pick a speciality at the same time. Everything goes according to when you start. i started in august so i know what happens if u start in august. i really dont know what you do in gi/gu im not in that class yet. all i know is according to what i hear from other ns in my school its the most failed course after that it lightens up a little. they will tell you a lot of info on your orientation. dont worry about what to study now or what how things work. i would just say do your paperwork and enjoy your time off and relax

LOL! Sorry, just nervous.....thanks for the advice though :)

lol no need to apolgize trust me i know exactly what u are feeling like. my best advice is to go have fun. take a vacation. nursing school at bcc is going to be 85% of your life. no joke. dont be scared just be prepared mentally. dont read a head either. it will do u no good. im at the north campus and they test according to the objectives. you cant buy them yet cause every term they change a little. but basically take your notes from class and what the book says and put it together. the teacher of course will lecture according to the objectives. also buy a tape recorder and tape the classes and make sure you copy that stuff into your notes. she will pull exact test questions from her lecture. my next piece of advice is regarding the math class. dont worry about its not hard. the only stressful thing is you must get a 90 to pass. basically at the end of the math class they give you an exam. get more than one wrong you fail and you get your second attemp next week. dont worry you will not fail more than twice. seriously. dont bother memorizing any formula or conversions they will give that to you. so dont waste your time doing that now. i strongly reccommend u take this class online if its offered. i go to north but they offer the math online with mrs brickman. do it this way then u can have thursday off to study. also if you have dr k dont buy the book you 100000% dont need the book. he test according to his powerpoint and 90% of the time he will tell you the exact questions on the test. the other 10% he will tell you what slides to study. so right now just chill and have fun. best piece of advice and u will understand where im coming from before you know it

Hi All,

Just wanted to let you all know that I went to drop of more paperwork to the nursing department and the lady there told me that the online students were going to have 2 days of orientation. January 5th and 6th. She said she would send us all an e-mail but I just checked and have no e-mails. Just wanted to give you all a heads up so you could make arrangements for kids/work/schedules.

Yes, I called and they told me that as well as to follow the professor's individual blogs. If you look at your schedule, now it says the orientation date and time as well as other pertinent info under each course and the professor's blog info. We have to purchase the orientation packets on Jan 3rd.

So we apparently have 4 orientations in total to go to??? 5th, 6th, 11th, 12th?

So, we need to KNOW ch. 34 by TUES! EEK!
