I wanted to create a new thread for everyone that will be starting the online nursing program, so that we can communicate, share ideas, support one another, and study.

I already have all the other shots. I just had blood work done in August which showed all the titers. I heard it was cheaper going into a CVS clinic to do a physical. I was thinking it might be cheaper to go to the Dept of Health to get it cheaper as well. I think there is one off of Eureka Dr (South of of u, Dept of Health). I think the CVS off US1, across from Dadeland Mall, has a clinic in it.

Yes, I was told about the dept of health in perrine. You're supposed to call to make the appt but the number I was given isn't any good...I'll keep looking or go to that CVS on Us1.

That's the place I was told about...the number for them doesn't seem to bee any good....

Ok, so their next appt isn't until January so it looks like I'll be getting everything done at cvs. : ) Thanks for the idea! :)

you're welcome. i found out there are 2 in kendall: 12955 sw 112th st

miami, fl, 33186 and 8765 s. dixie hwy miami, fl 33143 (this is the one off us1). there is one also in doral: 10701 nw 41 st doral, fl 33178.

i hope this is cheaper for u, the price for the physical varies $29-$104 and the vaccinations as well, $29-$147.

i can't believe doh does not have any availabilty until january. that sucks :down:...lol. well i hope this helps u out.

I have not been either and plan to go next week too. I thought u get it all in one place, but maybe I misuderstood/mistaken.

The fingerprinting fee is $59 and $1 to fax the form to FDLE ($60 total).

ok but what gets done at the fingerprinting place and how long until you get your results?

We're in the same boat then....so anxious to just get it all done and over with!

We also have to go to the orientation the first day of class.....I thought that was only for the face to face people until I emailed that lady that did the orientation. Anyway, I'll probably be going to do the fingerprinting this friday. If you go before I do, let me know what it's like, if not, I'll let you know. I like knowing what to expect and it seems like a lot of things are either all cloak and dagger or just really disorganized.
