Does anybody know if it is possible to get your BN or RN through distance Ed. in Canada without being an LPN or RN first?

In Canada BSN is the only option if you want to be an RN.There is distance learning through Athabasca U. but they only offer a post RN BSN and a post PN BSN. I think you also have to go to Alberta for clinicals. You may have better luck if you post on the Canadian Forum.

Specializes in acute care med/surg, LTC, orthopedics.

In addition to Athabasca, there's also St. Francis X in the Maritimes but that one offers post RN only.

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.
