I have worked on a psych ward for 5+ years and I have seen alot. Some too gross to mention. On this particular day though we had a new admit. I went to do her inventory and the nurse was doing a body exam on her. The nurse told me to go find the supervisor and to bring him back with me. We walked in the room and the nurse said she had foreign objects in her (you know where). As the nurse asked her what she had up there, the new admit replied, "feel free to look". The supervisor told the charge nurse to instruct the patient to take whatever it was out. Out she pulled, 2 tuna fish sandwiches, the wrappers the sandwiches came in , and a handful of cigarette butts. Needless to say, after I saw that I went to find a bag to put all of the "foreign objects" in and told another fellow aide that the nurse needed her to bring it into the room. I just couldn't go back in that room yet. :sofahider

We had a similar situation where we found a potato that had started to sprout!
