I have 5 years experience as an lvn and a years as a med tech but no one is willing to even consider me for work as an lvn now. You must have 1 year lvn experience to be considered.

Hang in there hon. My heart goes out too you.
It took me a year with a BSN and prior experience to find a nursing job. Some of my cohorts that graduated with me three years ago--some of them top of our class and with prior experience in health care fields--just now found work as RN's.
Take classes, work the flu shot clinics, volunteer and go spread your resume face-to-face where you can. Get friends in the field to introduce you to their managers. Maybe you should look into an LVN to RN bridge program.
Keep at it and good luck!
