Do all states publish newsletters listing nurses and aides that are in trouble? AZ does a quarterly magazine, and at the back every quarter there are maybe 200 or more nurses and aides listed, with charges against them, revocations, probations, and on and on. This is a small state, and I'm always amazed that there are ANY nurses left that are not in some kind of trouble. It can be seen at the BON site, AZBN.gov. Also, it used to require a 'history' of med errors to be in trouble, it is now down to one that they consider 'significant'. If you are working LTC, be forewarned that aa missed insulin injcetion (or failure to change a wound dressing, etc.) can cost you all kinds of grief,,,for example, and they are ramping up their disciplinary actions all the time.
