Has anyone applied to the Direct Entry of nursing Fall 2017 at Simmons? I 'm still waiting to hear from them. My status says" file under review for completion?

Hi NPToBe527, thanks so much, doesnt seem like i can message you. I just want an idea of you thought your experience was, how teachers were, and whatever else you feel a nursing student entering would like to know.

Well I ran into someone from the Boston area, they said they didn't apply to Simmons due to the negative opinions prior students gave her of the program and another mishap i cant remember at the moment. In particular, they said they felt like a number and the school cared more about money then them. Granted this is only one persons experience, but I googled reviews online and some student sites have said the same issue (not sure if they mean the online FNP or direct entry). However, I've also talked to a few other students who said they love Simmons and everything about the program and have no regrets attending. Collectively, AllNurses seems to have the opinion it is a great place.

Since Im not on the east coast, or know of students who went to Simmons, its hard to tell if the few negative opinions I've heard of are something to be worried about.

For those waiting to hear back, I have no idea how they send them out. I called them a while after it said "decision mailed" since i never got mine. Turns out they forgot to add my house number to the mailing address.

My application still says "file under review for completion"...hoping that isn't bad news :(

I just checked my status today and it changed to decision mailed!!! But then again looks like all the acceptance mails went out a long time ago.

I wrote to the admission office yesterday. They say that they have started sending out admission decision, all of them will be out at the end of the month
