Direct Entry of nursing Fall 2017 at Simmons

Has anyone applied to the Direct Entry of nursing Fall 2017 at Simmons? I 'm still waiting to hear from them. My status says" file under review for completion?

Unfortunately I can't make it. please share any valuable information from the open house. Does anyone remember how long into the program before we can start working? Trying to figure out finances.

What other schools did everyone apply to besides Simmons? Is Simmons your first choice? I'm trying to decide between Simmons and UMASS Amherst -- there's a lot of things I like about both schools. Simmons is in a city I prefer and seems to have good clinical opportunities, but recently US News & World Reports released their updated rankings for nursing schools and I was surprised to see how low Simmons was ranked for their Masters program (granted, I know it's for their Masters in nursing program and not their Accelerated BSN). UMASS Amherst was ranked much higher so now I'm kind of confused as to whether or not I should pay attention to rankings.

Hi blackberry,

if you google the reliability of us news you will find a lot of articles regarding how unreliable it is. I'm not sure how Simmons compares to UMASS, but in other forums comparing Simmons to other direct entry programs such as MGH, Simmons received great reviews. If anyone is going to the open house on March 25, can you please get the opinion of alumni?

Is there a Facebook page for accepted students? I need to start looking for a roommate(s).

Has anyone put in their deposit yet? My acceptance letter said that my deposit is due May 1st.

Hi everyone!

I am applying this Fall into Simmons Direct Entry program as well as a few others in Boston, however, I really love Simmons. Would you be able to give me some insight into the program, thus far as well as the grades (GPA for both your science classes and major)? I am getting nervous and I just want to be prepared for the application process!
