Actually you're the one that's off the mark. I'm pretty acquainted with what MSN means given that I'm starting an NP program this fall. Why don't you look at the link posted above and read their page? The CNL program at Seton Hall doesn't require an MSN, nor do any other CNL programs. CNL is just a generalist Masters degree.
Sorry, you misunderstand me. A CNL is a MSN. Once you graduate to a CNL, you have your MSN. I did not mean a MSN is a prerequisite.

I know you asked for FL, but there's one in Georgia. I figured I'd tell you about it since it's only a state away.

It all depends on what you want to do with nursing as far as what kind of masters entry program you want to do. If you are interested in Advanced Practice nursing, you might be better off looking for a program that offers a masters entry for that particular field if you can move easily. If you are looking to be a staff nurse or more towards management, the CNL is the route to go. I'm working towards being an Advance Practice nurse, but because I can't afford to move across the country to do a direct entry program for my field of interest, I'm doing a masters entry CNL program and then a post masters certificate in my field of interest.

I think that you plan is a great idea. I too am interested in Advanced Practice Nursing. However, as of right now I am interested in either becoming a CRNA, or a Pediatric Acute NP, or an Adult Acute NP. Since my interests are are so different I think it is best I get the CNL first. I can always go back for a post masters certificate when I know for sure which area of nursing I want to specialize in.
