Dear Nurse Beth,

I am currently doing my diploma of nursing, currently going moving states so applying for uni. Without completing my diploma. Is there a point in me finishing this last term of the diploma. I want to join the ADF and they recruit based on UNI grades. The school I'm at uses a pass or fail system, and I'm unsure as to how that transfers to Uni marks.

Dear Wants to Transfer,

It is much better NOT to attend a school with a pass/fail grading system. You will have trouble transferring credits to accredited schools later.

I can't say whether or or not you should finish your diploma program, it depends on personal things such as do you need to work, etc. The benefit is that if you complete the program and pass your NCLEX, you'll be an RN and can work while continuing your education.

Either way, you need to go on and get your BSN. Good luck!

Best wishes,

Nurse Beth

I am not sure if your typing skills are bad or if you speak that way but you will have a hard time if at all to move to a different program. don't waste your time just wait until you move. otherwise, you are wasting your time and money.
