I am a second degree change of career student. I'm currently at Medgar Evers and I just finished taking my pre-reqs for some BSN programs I'm thinking about applying to. My dilemma is my gpa from my first degree. I was 19 and didn't take college seriously at all, and I had a rough time in college. I just couldn't get it together . Now I'm 35, married and a mom and I decided that Nursing is what I really want to do. Right now I decided that all though my pre-reqs are done, I need to take some time and work on bringing my cumulative gpa up. So far my grades are A&P 1 B-, A&P 2 B+, Chemistry B+, and Micro B, I had to take intro to psyc over and I got a B-. I want to get my gpa up past a 3.5 so that when I do apply, the powers that be will see that the 35 me is worlds away from the 19 yr old me. Question is...will my past still haunt me?
