Hey Guys, I saw this article posted in Nursing News. I think its a must read for Pre Nursing Students. I know some are considering private schools so beware that this kind of thing is happening. ALWAYS CHECK the accreditation if this is a school that is not well known and that you are not familiar with.

I can't believe that in this day and age that there are people out there that don't do enough due diligence to determine the legitimacy of a nursing program. Seriously! It boggles my mind, especially when $$$ is concerned. I would never attend a school named RN Learning Center. How freaking shady generic does that sound???

Wow that sucks for those students. I hope that they can get into a legitimate program soon.

i totally agree with you....
i'm sorry that this happen to these people, but how could they not research knowing that they were spending so much money
Yeah our education is so important, I wish they had done the research too. I even research professors by asking other students who have had them and/or looking them up on rate my professor.com website. Trust me if 5 or more students have reasonable objections its probably true. I did not adhere to this over the summer and suffered in one of my classes much more than I would have since my professor even LOST one of my assignments!!! I should have listened, but in the end I got a B which is OK but I know I would have gotten an A with a good professor. I took Chem too over the summer which is generally much harder for me but got an A due to my excellent teacher which I had heard great things about both from students on Campus and Online. So do your research even when it comes down to the professor because as a consumer you have a right to pay for and get the best you can.
