Did I fail the NCLEX?

Published

I just finished the test and I am completely freaking out. I only had 75 questions. I also heard that if you got the last question wrong, that it means you probably failed. Has anyone heard that or do you know if it is true or not? I know I got the last two questions wrong. That can not be a good sign.:crying2:

i realize you know your results by now, but for future readers, I got my last 2 questions wrong and I passed!!

Ok so I took the big exam this pass Saturday and my name did not show up on the BRN as of today March 15. The BRN website says updated Mon-Fri and last updated March 13 (which is a Sunday). I'm going absolutely nuts, can it take longer than 48hrs for your name to appear on the BRN or did I simply just fail. I walked out of the exam feeling like crap, I kept getting infection control questions so I had a feeling I wasn't getting them right. I was stopped at 83 I'm pretty sure I got the last question right though. I think I'm just looking for some comfort. help

Depends on your state. My state took a week before my name was in. Are you in a state that allows you to get quick results for $7.95? Otherwise, try the Pearson Vue trick to help ease your mind. Here's a link that explains it. https://allnurses.com/nclex-discussion-forum/pearsonvue-trick-part-403722.html good luck!

thanks for your quick response, i tried that pearson trick and i got the pop up that says 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time, which is supposed to mean you passed but i don't trust it. i live in southern california and we are not offered the quick results. i guess i'll just have to wait and see.

I justed wanted to thank everyone for your support and help. By the way.....I PASSED!! That was the worst couple days of my life. Please pass it along, getting the last question wrong does not mean you failed.

Thanks again

I'm glad you passed, congratulations!!!

Getting the last question right/wrong doesn't mean anything. I had a fairly easy question for my last question and I definitely got it wrong...but I still passed!

Im freaking out as we speak. I took the test in like 45 min and only took 75 questions. There were things on there I had never ever heard of. It seemed like the majority of the test was "Select all the apply" and Honestly didn't know the material they were asking about. Ive done the Pearson Vue thing to reregister and it wont let me. Im hoping that Because all my questions seemed super hard that might be an inclination I passed. I was told that if I was getting super easy questions then I was well below that minimum passing line.... Hopefully thats the truth. If I fail I am probably going to lose my spot in the ICU intership at one of the largest, most advanced hospital in Texas. I cried the whole way home, and am still not ok about this test. I would be willing to bet anyone who asked money that I failed... But here's hoping!!! Fingers and toes and everything else crossed until I can get my "unofficial results"...
