Hello! Please help me :-) I am trying to figure out which Master's degree to pursue. I am considering MSN-Education vs. MSN-Leadership vs. FNP. My main goal is to open doors and have options and a good schedule. I currently work in a large, very prominent hospital and just want doors to open where I can make more money and have a SWEEEET schedule :-)

I have an MSN-Education. I was already working as an Educator in a hospital but the MSN would have made me qualified to apply for a higher paying job, like Director of Education for the hospital.
The MSN also qualified me to teach at a community college, which paid quite a bit less than working in the hospital did. Some instructors did clinicals in the AM, and some did PM.
I ended up taking a job in informatics, which doesn't require an MSN, but definitely gave me an edge, because the job duties are mostly education-related. THIS is the job with the good schedule and decent $.
Good luck!!!

Yes, my MSN-Ed has opened doors. I earn around $95K per year and work four 10s. That being said, yesterday I got pulled into the ER to transport patients because we were overloaded and I stayed pretty darn late. Sometimes we have to come in at night - after all, night shift needs what we do as well.
I love my job. I feel fulfilled, fairly paid and I like my schedule a lot.
